What are Nordblooms Preserved Flowers?
Nordblooms are real natural flowers that have been harvested in full bloom and then bio-preserved to make them longer lasting. This process allows them to retain their fresh cut look and feel for up to one year—unlike fresh flowers that only last for about a week, Nordblooms makes the perfect home accessory blooming beautifully all year round.

How are the flowers treated?
Harvested at the peak of their beauty, the flowers go through a preservation process using glycerin and food dyes. The process allows the flowers to maintain their natural beauty, soft supple look and freshly cut appearance for up to one year.

How long do preserved flowers last?
Our flowers and foliage last for up to a year. As a natural and biodegradable product, they do not last forever but will eventually lose their water content and dry out. To enhance the life of the plants keep them away from direct sunlight, air conditioning vents and heaters as this will dry out the flowers more quickly.

Are they flowers or a home accessory?
Both. Unlike perishable flowers our blooms still look fresh by the end of the week. Paired with one of our modern vases they make the perfect home accessory, elevating your space and blooming beautifully for up to a year.

Preserved flower bouquets as an interior design item.
Due to their long-lasting properties, our bouquets serve as an interior design item. Just like how an accent pillow or a piece of art gives character to a room and ties all the elements together, our carefully curated bouquets matched with a contemporary vase adds the final touch and completes the look.

Where is my bouquet made?
Nordblooms bouquets are curated by hand in our New York studio, wrapped in our signature paper and delivered straight to your door in our editorial flower box.

How does it work?
- Select your favorite bouquet (don’t forget to add a vase for the perfect finish), place the order and wait for your delivery.
- For a table-ready option - Gently unpack the bouquet and place it in one of our vases, no water or trimming stems needed. Alternatively use one of your own and trim stem lengths to match the vase.
- Sit back and enjoy!

Caring for preserved flowers

How to care for preserved flowers?
- Do not water the flowers or put the stems in water.
- Keep out of direct sunlight to avoid the color fading.
- Keep in a cool, dry spot in the home and avoid humidity.
- Keep the plants away from air-conditioning and heating vents to avoid drying out the stems.
- The flowers are made for interior use only, do not place flowers outside.
- The flowers have been treated with natural dyes. To prevent transfer of color, do not place in contact with fabrics or other delicate items.
- If exposed to humidity, the stems may sweat and leak small amounts of water and dye. In this event gently dry the stems and leaves with a tissue.
- The flowers are delicate, handle your blooms with care.
And lastly, remember to enjoy your new bouquet!

Where does my order ship from?
Orders are shipped straight from our New York studio.

Where do you ship to?
We currently ship within the contiguous US to all 48 states.

When will my order ship?
Local orders are shipped the same or the next business day whereas nationwide orders are shipped within 2 to 5 business days.

NYC delivery.
For NYC we offer same day and next day deliveries for zip codes within our local delivery range. Same day deliveries apply to orders placed before 11am on Monday through Friday. Orders placed after 11am will be delivered the following business day.

Nationwide delivery.
Orders placed with standard ground shipping will ship within 2 to 5 business days. Once your order ships it should arrive within 5 to 7 business days, although the time may vary.

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping prices depend on the location and will be calculated during checkout.

How do preorders work?
For select New Styles and Out of Stock items we take preorders. The payment will be processed upon placing the order. Once the orders are in stock, they will be shipped on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that product availability is not guaranteed, and we may be subject to external factors outside of our control. In that event we will of course refund you. By placing a preorder you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

What is your return policy?
Unfortunately, our floral arrangements are not eligible for returns or exchanges. Once your order has been placed it cannot be canceled or modified. It’s our hope that you will fall in love with our beautiful blooms. We offer a great selection of styles and colors so that you can find the perfect bouquet for your space.

Will the flowers look exactly like in the photo?
As flowers are natural products there may be variations to your bouquet compared to the reference photo. The color and the shape of the flowers may differ between bouquets. Flowers are also subject to availability and seasonality and if a specific flower is unavailable, it may be substituted by a different flower without prior notice or advertisement.

My bouquet arrived damaged.
We strive to deliver beautiful bouquets in excellent condition straight to our customers. On the rare occasion that we fail in this mission, submit photos as proof of the damage and with the order number to help@nordblooms.com.
You must contact our customer service team within 48 hours of the delivery so that we can resolve the issue.

How much does the subscription cost?
There are currently two subscription tiers offered – one with and one without a vase. Please check the subscription page for the latest pricing.

What’s included in the subscription?
Fill your home and elevate your space with our contemporary bouquets. Our subscription is the perfect way to treat yourself and also makes for great gifting for someone that you care about.
Get early access to new designs and exclusive releases through our subscription service.
Our members enjoy free shipping and get access to exclusive designs, special events, our newsletter and more.
Select between our neutral and greenery bouquets for a more subtle look or opt for our colorful bouquets for a more striking and eye-catching option.
Next, decide whether you would like each bouquet to be delivered with a matching vase.
Enjoy beautiful flowers delivered every 8 weeks.

When will my order ship?
Our floral subscription service is delivered every 8 weeks and orders are shipped in the first week of every odd month. Order months are January, March, May, July, September and November. New subscription services need to be signed on at least 5 days prior to the next delivery date to make that batch or otherwise starting with the next delivery date.

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?
Our subscription service, just like our flowers, is made to pair with your lifestyle. Pause, cancel or restart your subscription depending on your needs. Just write to us at least 14 days prior to the next delivery date to modify your subscription.

When do I get billed?
Billing occurs prior to the shipment for each bouquet. The subscription is ongoing and can be canceled and resumed at any point to suit your preferences. Just send us an email to help@nordblooms.com
Please cancel your subscription 14 prior to the next delivery to cancel the next order and avoid being charged. -
Can I combine discounts?
As our membership subscriptions are already discounted, additional discounts and promo codes do not apply.

What are the terms and conditions?
By purchasing a subscription, you agree and acknowledge that your subscription has an initial and recurring payment charge, and you agree that Nordblooms may submit recurring charges to your credit card every 8 weeks without further authorization from you, until you notify Nordblooms that you wish to cancel or pause your subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you hereby accept responsibility for all recurring charges. When you cancel your membership, your cancellation will apply to the next upcoming billing cycle. You cannot use any promo or discount codes when purchasing a subscription.

What is the impact of buying fresh cut flowers?
Fresh cut flowers are often air freighted from all around the world and need to be kept in temperature controlled and refrigerated transports and facilities leading to greater carbon emissions. Fresh cut flowers usually last for about a week compared to preserved flowers that last for up to one year. Due to the short life span, the annual carbon footprint of purchasing a dozen fresh roses every week, is about 686 pounds of CO2 emissions (2007 study by Cranfield University in England).

How sustainable is Nordblooms?
Apart from being pretty (and dare we say near perfect) preserved flowers are also:
- Longer-lasting than fresh flowers.
- Real, natural and biodegradable, unlike fake or artificial flowers.
- Contributing to less waste. Save up to 51 bouquets from landfill annually compared to replacing fresh flowers weekly.
- Helping to reduce carbon emissions through drastically reducing the number of transports needed.
- A more sustainable alternative to fresh cut flowers so that you can enjoy the beauty of real flowers but without the guilt.
- Maintenance free, requiring no watering or upkeep so that you have more time to do the things that you enjoy.

What do I do with the flower delivery box?
Repurpose our floral box into an artsy storage box to house your goodies or recycle the box so that it can live a second life.

What if I only want the same design for a few months?
No problem at all. If you want to upgrade or change a bouquet that still has useful life, we have partnered with the charity BloomAgainBklyn who you can donate the bouquet to so that it gets repurposed and brings joy to someone else. Alternatively, you can gift it to someone in your life who would appreciate to add some greenery or vibrant flowers to their space.
Even if a bouquet has only been used for 3 months it is still a more sustainable option than fresh flowers and is equivalent to 12 weeks of bouquets and you have saved 11 bouquets from ending up in landfill.

How to donate to BloomAgainBklyn?
Bouquets that still have useful life can be donated straight to the charity by dropping it off at their facility (please see their website for most up to date information).
